Kindergarten Library Permission SlipDenver Public Schools Southmoor Elementary August 25, 2006 Dear Parents, Reading with your children everyday is the best way you can encourage your child to become a life long reader. We want to support you in your daily reading time as much as we can. Kindergarteners will be attending the Library once a week for storytime and checkout. Mrs. King’s class will come to the Library on Wednesday morning and Mrs. Betz’s class will come on Thursday morning. We would like for you and your children to be reading these books at home. We will discuss Library etiquette and how to take care of books. Please reinforce this at home. Books will be returned and exchanged for new books weekly. With your permission, each child will be able to check out a book to take home and share with Mom and Dad. There will be a $20.00 charge for lost or damaged books. If you would like to take advantage of this opportunity with your child, please complete the form below and return it to school.
